- When a Government Servant resigns his post
- When a Government Servant is dismissed or removed
- When a Government Servant is compulsorily retired as a measure of punishment

23. The payment of Travelling Allowance to family of a Government Servant who dies while in service shall be applicable to
- A Government Servant who dies on the last day of his service
- A Government Servant who dies during Leave Preparatory Retirement
- A Government Servant who has been re-employed after retirement
- A Government Servant who has been paid out of contingencies.
24. Advance of Travelling Allowance is not payable in the case of a journey of the following kind.
- To attend a departmental inquiry outside the HQRS.
- Transfer of a Government Servant from one station to another
- In case of a journey performed after retirement for settling down in a station other than the last station of duty .
- For a journey performed by the family of Government Servant who dies while in service, for settling down at a place other than the last station of duty.
25. Travelling Allowance may be paid to a Government Servant for a journey performed by him to
- Procure a health Certificate on first appointment to Government Service.
- Appear before a medical committee for obtaining a certificate of fitness to return to duty.
- Obtain a medical certificate from a Government medical officer
- Obtain a second medical opinion in support of an application for an extension of leave.
